About us
The Fährhaus am Stausee is enchantingly situated in an idyllic spot right on the Mosel in Metternich, in a part of Koblenz called the „Eulenland“. Since 1974, it has been in family hands, owned by Karl-Heinz and Birgit Konieczny.
Tradition, informal management and a stylish ambience are values fostered by us. We do not leave anything to chance when we are dealing with our customers’ well-being.
The furnishings in the guest rooms correspond with the style of the hotel: cosy, comfortable and individually planned. A welcoming living area, bath or shower, toilet, direct dial telephone are, of course, found in every room. Furthermore, every room is equipped with a digital sat TV, radio, fax port and some have a balcony.
The reception timetable: Monday: from 07.00 a.m - 08.00 p.m. Tuesday - Sunday: 07.00 a.m. - 11.00 p.m.
The restaurant, which is cosy and has been decorated with much care, is where you will be spoiled by the chef Markus Konieczny, who, along with his young team, prepares some unusual regional and international meals, depending on what is in season. Lamb, venison and fish specialities will make any gourmet’s heart beat faster. Let’s not forget to mention the wine-cellar that is well-filled with individually selected wines from the best wine-growing areas. The restaurant is closed on monday´s.
We provide a stylish framework for weddings and family festivities arranged by us for up to 80 persons. Two flexibly designed conference rooms provide the perfect setting for seminars, conferences and annual meetings. We will organize your event. On a nice summer day, you should dine in the garden restaurant amid beautiful plants and flower decorations with a view of the Mosel. Over 150 seats, 100 parking spaces, our own pier – an ideal starting point for walks, bike rides and excursions to Westerwald, Eifel, Hunsrück and Taunus.
